Being taken for a walk in a pram or baby carrier can be dangerous business

Being taken for a walk in a pram or baby carrier can be dangerous business. When American researchers analysed data covering the period from 1990 to 2010, they were surprised to find that over 360,000 kids aged five or younger received treatment for injuries related to carriers and strollers in US emergency rooms. That amounts to around two injured children per hour. Most accidents involved injuries to the head and face, and occurred when kids fell out of their stroller or carrier or when either was tipped over.
