That’s the conclusion of a study that has shown that soaking in a warm bath can burn as many calories as a walk, and lower blood sugar levels as much as cycling. Just by lying in a hot bath for an hour, volunteers burned 126 calories, which is equivalent to walking for half an hour. By controlling peak blood sugar, baths may also be beneficial in the fight against diabetes.
