Addiction can be devastating, but there are experts who can help.


Substance abuse means dependence on a drug such as cocaine, heroin, or legal drugs such as alcohol or prescription medication. But addiction covers a much wider spectrum of compulsions like gambling and even sex, and the effects of addiction can devastate families and destroy careers.
