Root canal treatments are not alwys successful.
It seems as though you may be having a persistent inflammation relating to one canal of the offending tooth.
I would advise a course of antibiotics and then replacing the material in the canal (it may need to be shortened marginally).
If this is unsuccessful, consider seeing an endodontist.
