Q.

Tooth Straightening

My daughter is 8 years old and her teeth are growing funny. Can you recommend whether I need to go to a dentist or orthodontist. Also, I've read of 2 types of procedures. Which is quicker & less traumatic on the child and what are the costs involved. Also does the medical aid cover it. I am on Discovey's classic core plan.

You first need to see a dentist who after a thorough consultation will advise you whether the time is right for a visit to the orthodontist.
Contact your medical aid for their payment plans.
