Q.

tooth ache without tooth?

Dear Doctor
I had a root canal done on one of my back teeth and experienced several pain afterwards. It was treated for infection but still the pain would not go away. Now 3 months later I am pregnant and still got this pain. I went to a new dentist and he advised me to pull the tooth as he does not want to take changes during early stage of pregnancy. Now 1 month later again I still experience pain in the jaw WHERE THERE IS NOT TOOTH ANYMORE? What now.. I am seeing the dentist again on 8th July... PLSE HELP!!!!!!

Did the dentist check the opposing tooth as well? Sometimes the pain can be referred from the opposite tooth (top or bottom)
It could also be a nreve problem however this is unlikely.
