Q.

thanks doc - it wasn't gingivitis

hi doc, i went to the dentist yesterday and he took an x-ray and I have an abscess (this is the front tooth that we are talking about) ok, it is a cap and underneath is my tooth - am not sure but I think it is a root canal - now he says he has to remove the tooth - I really am hesitant - isn't there any other alternative? instead of the extraction - can he not do a deeper root canal???? and the on tooth that's on the side has a white spot that I've been living with ever since i can remember and he said something about clearing that - i think he wants to make a cap for that one too - I don't want him to fiddle with my teeth - i'm having a bad experience already and i really don't want anyone touching my healthy teeth!!! Please give me other alternatives doc.

I would advise you to do the root canal again. Sometimes a root anal treatment can fail and redoing it has a good success rate.
Giving other alternatives is VERY difficult without having examined you myself- sorry.
