Swollen Cheek

My son aged 5 started complaining of tooth ache 3 days ago, the following day he had severe tummy ache which we did related to gastro (the family have all had it) and not to the tooth ache, and a day later (yesterday) I took him to doc who prescribed Penicillian and pain killers for a tummy infection - BUT - today his cheek is very swollen - almost his whole cheek including his eye on the side he complained of tooth ache the first day, and his cheek is tender (not the tooth)? Seeing as he has just started antibitoics (had 3 doses so far) and is on pain killers, should I continue with these for another few days, or see a dentist about the cheek/tooth sooner - not sure what they can do though if there is swelling and an infection? He is eating ok, and slept well, just looks bad being all swollen.

see a dentist sooner- if the swelling is persisting despite the antibiotics the tooth will need to be removed urgently.
