Q.

Swelling

Hi Doc

For the last couple of days I have had an uncomfortable swelling under my chin - from the side it looks like I have a double chin. The swelling doesn't extend to my glands, but runs from halfway under my chin to where it meets the neck. Initially I posted on Cyberdoc, but this morning at 2am I woke up with fairly severe toothache on the back left side. Could the swelling be related? And what is likely to cause it? (I have made an appointment for tomorrow with my dentist)

Yes, the swelling could be an infection from a tooth. it could also be an infection from the salivry glands.
