It is normal to have some pain after a root canal but if the pain is severe after 4 days it is best to see your dentist again.

You should def go back to your dentist, as i heard sometimes they dont deaden all the nerves, you could stil have some nerves still active which is why you experiencing pain with hot and cold . Def make an appointment with your dentist as i know how uncomfortable the pain can be.
Good luck

I also had a root canal done about 2 weeks ago. But since then i cant have hot or cold drinks without that sharp pain in my tooth? the doctor gave me antibiotics. The pain is better but not the hot and cold pain condition. Must i go back in order for her to open up and do another root canal?
