Q.

root canal

i went for my root canal, the dentist was very gentle. my dental problem is very big, it turns out i had to do two root canals and there's a big hole in my gums, two of my teeth are affected. i'm going back to my dentist next weekend. he told me after next weeekend i've to cum bck in three month's time to check on my progress coz the pus has to dry up. all this cost me R1200. if the pus hasn't dried up after the three months, he told me i'll have to do something (forgot what) which will cost me R5000. can you give me any other advise or can i pay you a visit wherever you are situated, coz i think i trust your judgement.

Hi Kei,

Are you sure that he said 3 months? This seems like a long time. It is difficult for me to judge though as I have not seen any x-rays etc. I'm not sure what you mena by a big hole in your gums.

You are welcome to make an appointment at my rooms or see someone else for a second opinion.

the dentist described the hole, like a bag sort of, carring the pus.
