Q.

Pregnancy and toothache

Hi Doc

Please advise me. Is there a relation or a link between being pregnant and sudden toothache. Last week I have such back pain that I had the tooth extracted.

Now an adjoining tooth and another one one top is starting to ache and is doing the same as the extracted one. Are these two teeth going to be extracted as well.

These teeth never ever pained or bothered me before. However the one that was extract was filled some years back and the adjoining one too, but the one upstairs is original.

Am I going to end up with no teeth on the one side of my mouth before the baby is born.

I am 7 weeks and have weird teeth pains at the moment.

Please advise whether I should extract, or have them refilled. Or
Is this a phase.

Desperate for answers.
Thanx

Hello,

Sudden toothache is not related to pregnancy.
The prognoses of the remaininig teeth will depend on what examination and x-rays of them reveal. Howevr, the pain is probably due to the extraction last week.

I would give it a few days and if the pain doesn't settle, return to the dentist and have him check the adjacent teeth
