Post Tooth Extraction Complications

I had a tooth taken out on Monday, following an absess. The dentist battled to get the tooth out, drilled it in half, cut the gum and eventually got it out in pieces. I was on anti biotics at the time.
I have been in agony ever since. I went back to the dentist yesterday, who said that I had a dry socket, an infection in the bone, glands etc. He duly cleaned the socket out and packed it with medication. The dentist said there were bone fragments left behind and has now prescribed two additional antibiotics and pain medication. I am also using a mount wash and salt water regularly.
I' m still in agony, my whole face, ear, jaw is sore. I also can hardly open my mouth and all I' m able to eat is pro nutro and cup of soup. I am feeling awful and feel I' ve really been butchered.
I am due to see the dentist again on Tuesay, but I' m terrified to go back. The pain contiues despite the medication. Please help, what do you suggest I do to relieve the pain?

unfortunately there's not much more you can do right now to relieve the pain.
The extraction seems as though it was a compliacted one an the dentist followed the correct protocol.
the pain will get better in a few days

Also had the same happen to me but my dentist placed some awful tasting stuff that has eased the pain and seems to be settling it. Tip - eat soft scrambled egg if you get tired of pro-nutro and soup should be avoided (heat dissolves the blood clot which prevents healing)
