Q.

Please explain??? Dentures

Would you please explain the procedure: I'm 35 years old. My teeth is a mess to say the least. Can I ask my dentist to remove all of them and give me the "false" teeth old people have? Would they help me? What happens then? Do you go to the hospital and they cut/pull all your teeth out. Then you sit with NO teeth until the wounds are healed and then you put your teeth in. Please explain this to me? Why doesn't dentists like to pull teeth? It's mine and I know what I want.

there are 2 options you have:
- if you have made up your mind that you want all your teeth extracted you could have them removed (at the dentist or at the hospital). An immediate set of dentures can be placed so that you don't stay without teeth until healing occurs. This set of dentures will need to be redone in about 2-3months time.

- you could ahve the extractions , wait for healing and do 1 set of dentures only. this is the cheaper option.

dentists wil advise what is best for the patient in thier proffessional opinion, it is then up to the patient to accecpt the treatment advice or not
