Q.

Need for Brace

Hi Doc,

Is there any specific age when one cannot have braces?
I am 30 yrs old & need to have my teeth straightened.

I am very interested in the liquistic ortodontics you mentioned in
another posting. Is it expensisve, dones med. aid pay for it?

The reason I ask is I am in desperate need of braces BUT I I occupy a position that involves dealing with people & I dont want to be known as "wire jaws"

Pls advise.

After the age of about 10-12 there is no age which is unsuitable for braces.
I have seen a patient of 68 years who had it done.
Costs depend on the orthodontist. With regards to the medical aid, you will have to ask them.

Dear Dr.

I am 38 an have lost most of my teeth. I would like to replace them and any suggestions are more than welcome. I am writing from Mozambique. I hear people talk about fixed teeth replacement, is there such thing? And how much would this be?I would really appreciate any assistance.

Yours sincerely
