Q.

Lost tooth

Good day,
I have lost my upper two teeth on the left hand side. i have been for a denture with two teeth wich failed beacuse of the bone that has shifted up and the denture started to fall out of my mouth, i have already spent R5000 on this procedure wich failed. My denist talled my they need to build up the bone first before implants can be inserted. My bite is affected at this stage becuase i can only chew on the one side on my mouth. i am really worried about this and is uncomfortable for me to chew. i have been refered to a specialist but believe that this is a very costly procedure. i have been to a state facility to try and get help, but they can only help me maybe in about 5 years time. a other denist told me that screws can be inserted with a tooth on. Please could you help me is there instutitions who can help me with the right decision and financialy?

Unfortunately the implant procedure you describe very costly (despite South Africa being around the cheapest in the world to have thm done).

The cheaper alternative would be to redo a new denture. The tooh with a "screw" on is an implant as well
