Q.

jaw and ear pain

I have been having jaw pain radiating towards my temples and cheekbone and ear pain for the past week and decided to visit my dentist. He removed the old filling and told me that the filling was very close to the nerve and placed a temporary filling because he did not think a root canal since the nerve was not infected. He will however do a RCT if my pain continues. I am in pain presently.

Do u think that this tooth needs a RCT ?
or maybe i should visit a doctor to check if i have an ear infection that the reason for the pain? or
should i visit my maxillo since my wisdom was removed 6 months ago (the tooth that has a temp filling is next to the extracted wisdom tooth).

IF the pain continues you will need a root canal treatment. It is most likely that the pain is originating from the tooth with the temporary filling. See your dentist first
