Q.

implant/crown/bridge???

i am currently on holiday in poland and will only return to sa in december but i recently had an infection above my false tooth the dentist has removed my tooth and the cement that was in my gum (when i was 12 i was involved in a slight bus accident and hit my tooth against a metal bar wich sent my front tooth almost to my sinus breaking trough the bone in the process) now i dont know what i should do as i cant really understand these dentists as they speak very bad english the one dentist told me he would put a crown in as it would take 6 months to do a implant cause they must rebuild the bone, but i thought a crown attached to the root of a broken tooth i have nothing not even bone, he also suggested a bridge but says it would weaken my adjasent teeth
what are my actual options and what would you reccomend?

in sa my dentist filled the hole in my bone with some kind of cement and i had a false tooth with a pin that went into the cement, the polish dentist tells me that it was wrong and that its no wonder i had an infection is he right??

Hello,

Unofrtunately it is very very difficulty to advise you without having looked at your x-ray. implants usually take a few months from start to finish. You cn place a crown on a root of a tooth if there is sufficent support, but thus will depend on the health of the root.
bridge is an option as well.
My advice would be to have a temporary denture made and then disucss theses options at length in December with your regular dentist.
