Q.

Hospital for teeth removal

Hi There,

The last time I went to see a dentist it was last of last month and It was discovered that I had a tooth which is not developing normally. When I ask the dentist to removed that tooth I was told that I must admitted to a hospital in order for that tooth to be removed. My question is: How long can I be admitted as I don't to be in hospital for more that two day because of some other reasons? Why can't the dentist remove that tooth right away?
Please help as I start to feel a pain because of that tooth.

You will only be in hospital for a few hours not even 1 day.
The tooth is probably impacted (stuck in the bone) and that would require cutting bone and gum to remove the tooth. It is better to do the proceudre in theatre.

Do I need to make an appointment? Which hospitals can perform this type of an operation or procedure? I am staying around Midrand. Please help as I can't bear this pain any more.
