dry mouth white tongue

i have had a problem with dry mouth and white tongue for over two years at first i thought it might be thrush but have tried every treatment possible fluzol fo 30 days twice and nystatin, it all started after a bout of pityriasis rosea, i had bruising in the mouth for about a day and then my tongue turned white and my mouth became dry any idea what could be the cause, i am a smoker and also find it gets worse with stress and alcohol intake

There are many causes for dry mouth and these need to be investigated fully. Usually dry mouth is due to underlying medical conditions. I would first consult a dentist who needs to liase with your physician.
