Q.

Crowns and inlay

Hi Doc,

I went for 17 crowns yesterday and my mouth and teeth were sore. I was told that they would go for 17 crowns and 1 inlay.

Could you pls explain what an inlay is? The Dr tried to explain but I couldn't understand.

I have tempory teeth until next week Friday when they put in the crowns. What do you recommend I eat, I was told soft foods but what is soft for me could be hard for others.

it is like a filling that is cemented into the area prepared by a dentist. The difference is that inlays are usually made in the lab and fillings are placed directly in the mouth in the dental chair
