Q.

Clenching Jaw

I don't know if I am clenching my jaw, grinding my teeth or what. I wake up with a pain my left jaw - where the jaw bone joins the skull. If I press on the side and open and close my mouth it is extremely painful. Could it only be on one side? Could it be an abcess? Please help!

It does occur more often than not on one side.
You are probably grinding your teeth when you sleep resulting in extra pressure being placed on your joint. See your dentist who will be able to construct a bite plate for you so as to relieve the pressure from the joint when you sleep.
