Q.

braces+pain while chewing

Hi. i'm on braces. i've got 18months to go. i'm experiencing pain when chewing. as a result i can't eat as much food to be healthy. I put on elastics, but i take them out when i eat. my orthodentist designed an appliance to put on my palatte, i guess it's to advance the process. well he told me the appliance purpose is to keep the back teeth where they are and elastics will help pull the front teeth back. is there any diet i could follow whilst on braces? pls help!

A normal diet should be followed when having orthodintics. If you are unable to eat a normal diet, I advise you see a dietician who could advise you further.
