Q.

Braces = Bad Breath???

Hey

im 17 years old and hav braces. I am very hopped up on the whole gym thing and therefor drink alotta protein and eat little veggies, fruit(carbs). So i dont eat much/ regurlarly...

The problem being, that i havent this constant "unpleasant" odour in my mouth. I dont floss much either, too difficult. What could be the problem, the braces or my diet.

It is VERY important for all patients with braces to have thier teeth cleaned at a dentist every 4-6 months. As a result of the position of the braces, it is difficult for patients to keep the teeth clean, and an accumulation of plaque will lead to bzd breath. My feeling is that the odour is most likely due to your teeth needing a cleaning.
