Q.

Bleeding gums

What is the cause and remedy to bleeding of gums?.30days back I went to a dentist and she advised that it is because I smoke and unless I stop smoking, my teeth will keep bleeding. This is getting uncomfortable especially at work when you speak to colleagues and blood is running in between your teeth!

I have never come across a smoker who has continually bleeding gums. Best you get a second opinion - Gum disease can cause bleeding, but its not caused by smoking. Smoking as far as I know can discolour your teeth after a long time, but no bleeding.
