Q.

Abscess

I would just like to know if I have to see a dentist about a tooth abscess or can I just go to my local GP - as I know they are going prescribe anti-biotics before they can do anything further. This is a recurring one on a tooth that has just been filled on my 6 year old daughter.

no you need to see a dentist not a GP. if the abscess is recurring the antibiotics are not a long term solution. she will need further treatment/extraction of the tooth
