Q.

Tooth extraction and Plavix?

I have a tooth that is ready to come out. I have been on Plavix and asprin for a stroke for 1.5 years. My doctor said do not have the tooth removed. The tooth is very painful. Can I go off Plavix and asprin for four days then have the tooth removed and start up when I come home. Also diabetic.

You need to discuss stopping medication with the physician who prescribed it. It is best to consult your physician prior to any dental treatment.
