Q.

Flu symptoms caused by dental abscess and blood work

I was recently hospitalized for unexplained fever and quite severe body aches that had continued for about a month already at the time of admission. Only after discharge, did I start to feel tooth ache and have been treated with antibiotics by a dentist, which resolved all symptoms. My question is, when they did blood tests in hospital to try to pick up signs of infection, would it have been possible to pick up infection markers caused by a dental abscess in the blood work?
