Q.

1 year old and chipped front tooth

Hi there

My son chipped his tooth when he was about 6 months old .
Hes tooth is still white but you can see that it looks asif the tooth is "grinding" away , it looks smaller everytime me look at the tooth.

Tell me is there maybe something that we can do to prevent the tooth from rotting into the gums like caps or something .

My sisters child had the same and hers rotted away and it so sore for her and I really dont want my little one to go through the same pain !!!

Please advise
Many thanks

if the tooth is not too badly damaged, you could have it filled. there ar no caps that can be placed on children's teeth.
it is also advisable to determine if the tooth is wearing away due to decay or due to the previous trauma.
have a dentist check it out.
