Q.

Frequent urinating

Two weeks ago my wife and I went to see our GP. We were visiting the bathroom more often. I also have painful bladder and every time after passing urine, I would feel pain in my lower abdomen. The doctor tested the urine and said we had infection that was not bad. He prescribed one sachet of powdery antibiotic that we should take once. My wife told me she felt better after but I was still feeling the pain. He tested the urine again and told me it was clear of any infection and prescribed medication to relax the muscle for the bladder. The same problem is still there we are still both frequenting the bathroom especially at night. Please advise.

I would suggest returning for review.

A course of anti-inflammatories may assist, and there are a variety of different medications that can assist to relax the bladder.
Failing this, a diagnostic cystoscopy would be necessary.
