Enlarged adenoids do not cause any pain. Your child is far too young for an operation to remove adenoids. This can only be done when your child is at least 1 year old.

Actual operation about 10 - 20 minutes. Get ready for it they cry a lot directly after operation. It is the aneastetic. Try to get your son back to sleep as soon as possible, this takes about 1 to 2 hours of constant crying they will give them something for pain if they don't stop crying after about 10 minutes, as soon as they wake up there they should be better. After my daughter slept she immediately took some coke to drink and ate some pap and she was just fine. If I can give advice don't go alone when they give you your child out of operation they will be crying constantly and you will need some help ( husband / mom ect.) Just don't worry about it the more you worry the more they cry. Afterwards she was fine and I just gave her medication from dr and pain medicine when she was niggly.
