Q.

yellowish spots on scalp

Hi

My baby has yellowish spots on her scalp.
They do not itch and are not dry, or seem to give her any discomfort. she is 8 months old. They have been there for a while now and do not seem to go away. Is this serious? and what is it?

thanks.

This is called seborrhoea or cradle cap. It is not at all serious and will eventually clear up by itself. You can rub a little pure olive oil into her scalp daily. Then comb off the scales which loosen from her scalp very gently using a fine toothed comb.
