Q.

worried mom

My 4yr old son is attending a day care and what worries me is that they teach them the grade 4 staff, he can multiply, add, subctrate, punctuate, spell and differentiate colours.e.t.c all of this staff at his age won't it affect him because i think that kids have to have a foundation, limit for their age and learn step by step. Do you think that wont it affect him as time goes by please help me. Thanks.

How is it possible that he is being taught all these things so early? It will not do him any harm, although he may be a bit bored when he gets to school and the other children are only starting to learn about these subjects.

Hi

I also think thats rushing it but I know a lot of chreches do it. One problem I can think of is that he will be bored in school while the other kids learn these things and might think school is boring and have a dislike in going. So you will constantly have to stimulate him at a more advanced level than his peers to keep him intrested in learning. But I might be wrong
