Q.

Why 'Gluten Free' cereal

My lo is 7months and am giving him Purity rice cereal which is gluten free. I notice that other flavours are not gluten free. I also wanted to try Nestle cerelac and found that it is not gluten free. The problem is i don't know why 'gluten free' or not! What are the advantage and disadvantages of gluten free cereal.

I have no problem with the purity cereal that i ama using, i just wanted something different.

thanks

As long as you do not have a family history of wheat allergy, wheat intolerance, coeliac disease or gluten enteropathy which I don't think you do, there is no need to avoid small amounts of gluten.

Gluten free means it does not contain wheat ...if you baby is not allergic you can use the other porridge
