White mark on foot

Hi Doc,
I have noticed a white mark / skin discolouration in the skin on top of my 3 year old daughter' s foot (on the bridge). It is just over 1cm long and about 2mm wide. It has the shape of a skew line. It does not seem to bother her in any way. Should I use some cream for it or just leave it. Thanx.

This may be a skin condition called 'lichen striatus' which is a self-limiting condition usually seen in children. There is no treatment for this skin condtion but and it may extend further before eventually disappearing by itself. You can read more about lichen striatus on Google.

My apologies, it is not a white mark.
Her skin is fair and It is a lighter / slightly pinkish skin discolouration that is smooth when touched.
