When to change to the next stage formula with a preemie

My son was born at 29 weeks. He turned one last month. When we were to change to stage 2 Nan, the nurse at Clicks (has his vaccines there) told us to wait a bit before changing.

Can I now change to stage 3 nan which is from 1yr? My son has started getting up at night for a feed. He used to sleep from around 7pm up till the morning previously. He would get up anytime from 1am to 3am for a feed. Now he gets up by 11pm &  then again after 1am for a feed. Is it time to change to the next stage formula?

My husband thinks we should wait until March.

Please advise.

It does seem that your son is getting hungry and would benefit from a agrowth formula such a NAN3. Normally I would agree that he should only change at 15 months, but it seems that he is ready to change now despite his prematurity at birth.
