Q.

What should baby be eating

My baby is eating solids 3 times a day. She has cereal in the morning, yoghurt or fruit in the afternoon, and meat and vegetables followed by fruit in the evening. i ams till giving her purity but would like to make her meals myself. Is what i feed her ok?? Does she need more meat or veg??

Hi Liz

You should really get yourself a copy of Mary-ann Shearer's book Healthy Kids - The Natural Way. Does your baby sometimes suffer from a stuffy nose or chest? How does she sleep? How does her tummy go? Does she have a runny tummy or is she constipated? Good choice to make her food yourself, it is alot healthier and a lot cheaper! I would just cut out the yogurt completely and give her, her big meal for lunch and a lighter meal for dinner. She should really not be getting yogurt, starch or meat at 6 months of age. Read the book and you'll understand where I'm coming from...

Every child is diferrent from the other and the pace of development and age plays an important role in determining what and how much he should be eating.
for night feeds though try the purity night food range available at all major supermarkets.
