Q.

wetting bed

Hi
We have moved into a house from a small townhouse recently. We are staying there for 3 weeks now. My daughter had the problem of sometimes wetting the bed when not using the toilet before going to bed. Now, since we are in the house, she wets the bed every night. It is becoming a problem as we like sleeping out on weekends. Sometimes she will wet the bed when we sleep out and sometime I will be lucky and get a dry bed the next morning, but in the house for only 3 times now she has not wet the bed out of the whole 3 weeks. Please help.

This is a problem which often starts when a child's routine is upset especially when moving houses. You do not say how old your daughter is. If she is 5 years old or older you can try the reward system first-3 dry nights and she gets a small gift, but no gift if she slips up. Work in 3 night periods as far as the rewards are concerned. If this does not work she needs to be seen by a paediatrician. Very effective treatment is available.
