Q.

wetting accidents

dear doc, my daughter is 4, and has been potty trained, night and day since 2 1/2. I find that lately she is having a few accidents and will wee while she is playing or will get to the toilet too late. I often ask her to go and she says she doesn't need to, and then she may have an accident about 10 minutes later. It happens when she is busy playing, about once a week at the moment it seems. Is this something to worry about, as I said it seems to me to be happening a little more now.

You should not worry about this as it seems to be an accident each time and she is still young. Don't make too much of a fuss if she wets herself accidently and gently remind her that she must use the toilet as she has been taught to do.If the problem worsens speak to your paediatrician and ask him to test her urine just to be sure that she does not have a urinary tract infection.
