Q.

Weight of 6 yr old

Hi
Me again;)
I was wondering, I my 6 yr old was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5. He is currently on Concerta 36mg once a day in the morning and Convulex 150mg twice a day. He also gets 1 Minamino Capsules once a day in the morning.
He is fairly tall for his age (not sure of exact height tho) and currently weighs 22kg.
The private school he goes to is constantly phoning me about me how underweight he is, and I am becoming more and more desperate as he is a pretty picky eater, but I am honestly doing the best I can, always offering him healthy meals with sweets occasionally (and only after meals..)
Please can you advise me whether his weight is indeed lower than it should be, he was born in May 2001.
Thanx a lot:))

The average weight for a boy of 6 years is 21kg, so your son is not underweight. It may be that being so tall, he gives the impression of being older than he is and also his build may just be on the slim side which is ideal from a health point of view.

Hi again
I have just measured my sons height, he is 122.5 cm tall.
Is this height weight ratio ok for my son?
Thank you so much:))
