Weight of 4 yr old

Hi Doc,
Thanks for affording us all the opportunity to " call"  on you for advise and pearls of wisdom !
Please assist/advise.
1. My 4yr old weighs 25,6 Kg ! Is this not slightly heavy for her age. Hubby''s family are all big boned and overweight. I try my best to give lots of veg and fruit (loves it)  drinks lots of water  milk etc. Very active little angel (sometimes a devil in disguise).
2. The other issue is she REFUSES to sleep in her own bed and room - every night it''s a battle. If she does fall asleep alone then like clock work she will wake up in the night for one of us to come lie down with her.
3. Also she has been doing so well with her potty and going to loo alone, but lately she wets herself. Although I feel she is a bit lazy to goo to the loo ''cause she is playing etc. I have noticed that her wee has a foul smell.

Other than that she is a health bouncy toddy with a 3 yr old brother.

Please help a desperate mom

Thanking you in advance

You are welcome. The average weight for a little girl of 4 years is 16kg so you can see for yourself that 25.6kg is definitely well above this expected weight. She may just be a very big girl and be following a family trend so it would be very helpful if you would let me know what her height is.She is 4 years old and should be in her own bed now and sleep there for the night.Try to impress on her that she is a big girl now and start a star chart. Reward her if she manages 3 nights alone in her bed. Then increase to 4 then 5 then 6 nights etc until she is sleepig alone without any problems.I am a bit concerned about her wetting herself because you mention that her urine smells stongly. She may have a urinary system infection. It would be best to ask your doctor to test her urine to make sure about this.
