weight concern

My baby is 6 mths old and weighs about 7.5kg- he is not picking up enough weight according to the growth chart and seems to be dropping- he is on NAN HA but has never done well on the said formula - tried SOYA MILK but he broke out in a blood red rash - he does not take onto to solids very well either and sometimes refuses same altogether -I started giving him a supplement- He does, however, seem very happy and alert. Should i just be patient or what measures can i take to ensure the problem does not get worse! Am I taking the "Growth Chart" clinic sister's use to seriously?

Your baby's weight is below the average expected weight for a baby boy of 6 months. His weight falls on the 25th percentile which means that he falls in the lowest 25% for babies of his age. This is still well within normal limits and there really is no reason to worry. With time he will start eating solids and his weight will improve as well. He should be on NAN-HA2 now.

My son was the same when about 8 month, dr took blood and he was very low in iron. Maybe a good idea to ask your docor. He was on ferrimed for 4 months and now is back on track. Also try to give him chicken livers to boost the iron every now and then.
