Bedwetting also called "Enuresis".

Is usually genetic! Ask your partner of his childhood history?!

Also it may be aggrevated by emotional turmoil in their lives eg a bully at play school or the school teacher or even in an unsettled home.

What to do:
Gently try & find out what are the child's problems.
NEVER reprimand for bedwetting, instead help them out when the bed is wet, eg get new pyjamas, sheet etc.that will re-assure the child that you are not upset. If you are upset then the child will take longer to recover.

If after a few days of gentleness & support, there is no improvement, visit a paediatric psychiatrist who can help both by psychotherapy & medication.

I did this with my girl and it really works, takes some adjusting for both parent and child but is worth it in the end. Take your child to the loo at 11:00 or 12:00 and keep it up. After a while they it will become routine for them and they will start doing it themselves. Hope you come right with your boy I know what a pain it is to clean wet beds.
