Q.

WALKING INTO THINGS

MY SON WHO IS 18 MONTHS, WALKS INTO THINGS. HIS BODY IS ALWAYS BRUISED. HE EVEN WALKS INTO THE DOORS. FALLS OVER HIS OWN FEET. I HAD HIM AT A DOCTOR WHO SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM. I KNOW THAT HE DOESNT LOOK WHERE HE IS GOING. HE ALSO BANGS HIS HEAD WHEN HE CANT GET HIS WAY. SHOULD I BE WORRIED WITH HIM KNOCKING HIS HEAD SO OFTEN

Walking into things at this age is very common and is usually quite normal and a passing phase. Your son seems to be walking into things a little bit too often, so you need to be sure that his eyesight is normal.I suggest that you ask a paediatric eye specialist to see him and screen his eyesight just to be on the safe side. Head banging as you describe here is an attention seeking habit. Give your son plenty of love and attention and make sure that his father plays his part as well.
