Hallo Dr.

The crè che that my son goes to give me a letter from our Local Government in which they state they want to administer VIT A to all children - is this okay?

Yes it is a good idea and will benefit your child.

I got the same letter from my child' s creche and checked with my peadiatrician, according to him it' s fine if you child is not getting Vit A on a daily basis in the form of a supplement. But if your child is getting a supplement which contains Vit A then it' s not necessary for him/her to get the the extra boost of VIT A. He says that their is a possibility that your child can get an overdose of Vit A if he is already getting Vit A on a daily basis and it can include symptomes like headaches and vomiting.... What do you think doc?

Apparently it is good as long as they are not taking Scotts Emulsion as a supplement at home.
