Q.

vaginal and oral thrush

hi there my 10 month old was diagnosed with vaginal thrush, the nurse then had some ointment made up at the chemist with zinc in etc. She said I should use it for a week after it has gone! Subsequently she has a bit of oral thrush too! My problem is that it has been going for about 3 weeks and although the rash has faded and looks like it is almost gone - it hasn't and I have run out of the cream! What should I do? Should I get the same cream again or what?

Her oral thrush must be treated using Nystatin oral solution 1ml 3 times a dy for 5 days. Then you should use Nystatin Cream at least twice daily in her vaginal area.It will help her to give her probiotic drops such as Reuteri once daily for at least 10 days.
