Q.

vaccinations

Hi

My baby girl is now 16 months old and missed her 9 month vaccination due to the fact that up until now she never seemed healthy enough to receive the vaccination. She had German measels when she was about 14 months old and my question now is:

Can she still receive the 9 month vaccination even if she had German measels? Will she get sick because of the vaccination?

How soon afterwards should she receive her 18 month vaccination?

Thank you

At this time the 9 month Measles vaccination is not indicated anymore, but it is essential that she does go for the 18 months injections. This does include Measles as well. Side-effects are usually minimal and children may develop a mild viral illness in the week or two after the Measles vaccination.
