Q.

Urine

My son is two and a half years now. We are starting to get him off the bottle, as he drinks way to much from it. When we take it away he is fine. He does not cry or anything. But he then just doesnt drink from anything else. and he doesnt drink for a whole day.

When he goes to the toilet, his urine is very yellow, it is almost a luminous yellow. What could this be, is there something that he is laking, is there something wrong with his kidney, is he not drinking enough water.

Please help me. It worries me alot.

Are you giving him a vitamin syrup? Otherwise he is simply not taking enough fluid and his urine is too concentrated.

Hi Nats

He's definitely lacking some fluids - especially water. You say he was drinking too much from the bottle. What was he drinking in it?

Have you tried intruding a cup with a spout instead of taking away the bottle completely. At least that way he'll be getting his fluids in, but you're also getting him off the bottle.
