Q.

urinary tract infection

continous from to my 5 months baby, advise by doctor she have to take antibiotic trimethoprim daily 1.5 mg for 5 years, is it necessary she have to take for long time period until 5 years old.

What is needed here is a proper diagnosis first. You need to know if your baby has a normal urinary system. She must be carefully investigated especially through an ultrasound examination to be certain that all is normal. Other tests are also required.I hope that she has been seen by a paediatrician or paediatric urologist.
