Q.

Urgent ! Pls help !

Tomorrow my little boy will be a week in hospital already. He was admitted last week for gastro and dehydration. also they sent his stools away for tests. They picked up he has giardia lamblia cycts and giardia trophozoites parasites. He is not getting any better. just when i think he is getting better, he starts getting sick again. They took the drip out yesterday afternoon. But he is not eating and drinking again. Should i get a second paed to have a look at him? Surely by now he should have got better. He is only 1 years old.

He should certainly have been better by now as both of these parasites are easily treated with Flagyl. Please get a second opinion .
